For me, anyone who comes into my studio is a "star". Some come simply wanting to sing better to the radio. Others come with specific aspirations. I treat these scenarios and everything in between with the same respect, importance and enthusiasm. It's as simple as this: I love people. I love music. I love voice. And I believe it is my place in this world to have people feel safe enough to express that same passion.
I have had the privilege of working with students who came thinking they would never sing again due to child or adulthood criticism, or because of their own insecurities and fears, or because of vocal abuse such as nodules. Their victories have become my victories.
